Quality over Quantity

 When we think about spending time with God we believe that if we spend excessive hours praying and reading our word then we will be able to be unstoppable. This is true to some degree BUT what we have to realize is that a lot of the time excessive time is not what we need but quality time is what we need. Our interaction with God is like a relationship and the main thing people seek for in relationships is quality time with their spouse a lot of the time over quantity. See quality time means taking out the time to meditate and allow God's word to sink into our hearts.What we tend to do is try and spend as much time with God thinking its going to help and not allowing his word to truly sink in our hearts so that we can use it when its time. What good is it to know all the different types of guns and different bullets but not know how to shoot the gun when its time to hunt? Pointless right, its the same with our relationship with Christ if we are just spending surface time with God then it does us no good if we don't truly know God or how to use his word. What we need is quality over quantity but really what would be more better is if we could have both! That all comes with your growing in Christ but you will soon realize your need to be so close to God and intimate that your more concerned with quality time than quantity because you really want his heart and all that he can give you.
